Here's a suggestion: Whiners: They use their blog to complain about any ideas other bloggers voice -- right before attacking them personally. (The lowest form of blogger?)

Sarah

Zingers -- They criticize others.
Flingers -- They throw a bunch of stuff, and see what sticks.
Malingerers -- Each entry starts with, "Sorry it's been so long since my last posting, but..."

Great post. I'm a "thinker" with not enough time to write it all down so typically I end up being just a "linker". Here are a couple more personalities that I occasionally let show up my blog.

Scoopers - 1st out with a new story that everyone else quotes and blogs about.

Buzzers - always reviewing and/or promoting something.

Regurgitators - no time to write anything original just regurgitate everyone else's blogs. They can be a good source of info. They are similar to linkers but better at it. Good example is Stuntdubl.com who at least admits it right at the top of his page by saying "Internet Marketing News Regurgitated".

Oh Dan, the name just pops to mind when I read your descriptions. Those are STINKERS. Like a trash heap. Pilled higher and deeper with each posting to their point of view...only.

Dear Dan

What a wonderful blog ! I will link to it immediately from our blogsite (making me a linker), and I hope to add some insights to it (trying to be a thinker) but probably end up bragging about where I've been and where heading next (bling bling bling-er).

Your readers (and you) might be interested in my latest book, Communities Dominate Brands - which is not a blogging book per se, but one that looks at the power of all digital communities from blogging to videogaming to TV interactivity and cellphones/mobile phone smart mobs. Its currently the only business book on digital communities and its early reviews are phenomenal (British Chartered Institute of Marketing just said it is a "comprehensive exploration of this emerging topic which is presently unrivalled). The vice Chairman of Ogilvy the big global ad agency said everyone should read this book, and then force everybody ELSE to read it too..

Meanwhile, anyone at this blogsite might be interested in these topics, of digital convergence and the power of communities. We have a blogsite where my co-author Alan Moore and I blog on a daily basis, to follow all these trends. Your readers might be surprised for example that there was recently the world's first Hollywood movie release ...to a blogsite rather than cinema, TV or DVD.. etc. Our blogsite is www.communities-dominate.blogs.com

I will post a link to this story from our blogsite. I definitely find myself torn, doing some thinking, some linking and lots of blinging, ha-ha, probably indicative of my apparently very skitzophrenic mind ha-ha..

Dominate !

Tomi Ahonen :-)

Dan, let's not forget:

Blog Repellent Posers: PR Firms who claim to have a blog practice, but yet don't blog themselves. There are too many to name to even start a list here.

and the...

Blog Repellent Hosers: companies that start blogs, but don't allow comments and have someone ghost writing for them.

I can't take claim the term Blog Repellent. A friend of mine Derek Scruggs dropped this term on me at lunch one day and I about spit out my drink laughing.

Buzzoodle Ron

Hypers - Hyperactive people hyping their product or service all over other people's blog comments and their own blog.
